NATIONAL FIRE DOOR INSPECTIONS

Are the fire doors in your buildings in compliance with Fire Safety, ADA and Life Safety Standards?

DID YOU KNOW?

NFPA 80, 5.2.1, Version 2007, states that fire door assemblies SHALL be inspected and tested not less than annually and a written record of the inspection shall be signed and kept for inspection by the AHJ.

NFPA 80, 3.3.95, Version 2010 says that a Qualified Person (A person who, by possession of a recognized degree, certificate, professional standing, or shill, and who, by knowledge, training and experience has demonstrated the ability to deal with the subject matter, the work or the project) will do the inspecting.

Some municipalities are withholding business licenses, occupancy permits and charging property owners fines until proof of annual fire door inspections are documented.
